Now this break was quite some years ago, but the memories will be with me forever. Its true that some of the best holidays simply cannot be planned, and this one would fit into such a catagory. Myself and a good friend of mine Richard Nukem decided to make the most of easyjet's cheap flights (when flights just started to become cheaper), after scouring the website for the cheapest locations to fly to we finally decided on Geneva.

I went and bought some walking boots, a large travel rucksack and a few other bits, and off we went. With no where planned to stay, the plan was to get there, find a campsite and see what we can find to do. After the short flight we grab a tram into the city, then begin walking around in hunt of a campsite. During the walk a large black car with flarmes painted along the side pulls up besides us as, the guy gets out and asks if we could spare a couple of hours because he needs two more people on his speed boat in order to teach his sister to wakeboard. And so the fun began, we hopped on his speed boat with his sister and he begins to demonstrate some damn fine wakeboarding tricks!

As if things couldnt get any better, he docks up along side a campsite on the edge of the lake, and tells us to give him or his wife a call if we want to stay at their place instead of the campsite, and so we did the next day. The only price we had to pay for staying there was to speak as much as possible to his sister to help improve her english!

They are among the kindest and most honest people i have ever met, what could have been an un-eventful holiday turned into one of the most memorable, with us being invited on boat trips, meals, parties as well as given the use of bikes and their home.
